Its purpose is the education, presentation, and preservation of blues music as an original American art form for the next generation through teaching, publications, festivals, and concerts.... The Blues Society’s purpose is to promote, preserve and advance the culture and tradition of blues music as an American Art form, and to help local blues artists get the attention needed to keep the blues alive.
