are going to feature original blues music from local bands

associated with area blues societies from all over the world!

Participation is FREE except for a little bit of your time. This

is an opportunity to generate some more exposure for yourself as an artist and for the blues in general!

They are going to call the show the Blues Society Hour.

The show is going to air and be online Sunday evenings at 8:00 pm EST and will possibly repeat Thursdays at noon EST as part of a new Noon-Time Blues weekday line-up.

Spencer Phelps, the manager of WDIF-LP 97.5 FM and tells us:

"We broadcast over-the-air to Marion County, Ohio,

and we stream on our website to thousands of blues fans all over the world. Our station is a non-profit entity licensed by a 501c3 public charity - Marion Makes Music, Inc. We use proceeds from our station to provide free music lessons to children in Marion County who otherwise couldn't afford the opportunity. We match kids wanting to learn with area teachers willing to teach in their free time, then we pay the teacher and the child learns for free! ( for more info)." "We don't plan on making money off your show or artists. We solicit donations for the station and our cause in general. So I don't want you to think we're going to take your society's show and make a ton of cash off your efforts. We also will not make these shows available for download unless otherwise requested. Besides, we'd rather people tune in than just grab it once and forget about it."

They want original blues music from local bands

associated with area blues societies. That's where you come in. E-mail us mp3 files of your original blues music. They have to be radio-friendly. If they do have some bad words, WDIF-LP 97.5 FM can still play them so long as they're bleeped, silenced, or reversed. They will also need some pertinent info about the artists and their songs.

Please don't send a full CD or generic links to artist pages and say, "Just grab something off that."

We are looking forward to hearing from some or all of you. They want us to put together a fifty-five minute show comprised of your music, us talking about you and your music, where to find it and how to get it.
